How to clean your Curling Headband
Cleaning your RobeCurls Curling Headband is easy, we promise! The premium satin charmeuse fabric paired with H²air-Tex™ microfiber fleece means the antimicrobial and antibacterial properties keep it fresh for a long time, but inevitably it will need to be washed.
Whether you pair your Curling Headband with your favorite conditioning product, or it simply needs a refresh from use, here are two ways you can wash your headband.
Hand Wash
Taking the time to hand wash your Curling Headband is a great idea for longevity of the fabric and ensures it does not get wrapped up in other items. We recognize this takes some effort, but it can be a useful method when traveling or for a quick wash!
Step 1: Use the sink or a small bucket and fill it with cold water.
Step 2: Add a small amount of a mild detergent to the water.
Step 3: Swirl the water around before placing your headband in to soak for 10-20 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse the headband under cold water.
Step 5: Gently wring the water out and lay the headband flat to dry.
Step 6: Once the headband is dry, it’s refreshed and ready to use again!
Tip: If you’re short on time - skip the soak and quickly rinse instead.
Machine Wash
Choosing to machine wash your Curling Headband is a great idea if you need a quick way to ensure it is clean and ready to go!
Step 1: Add your headband to a load of laundry that requires a lower spin speed.
Step 2: Set the wash to cold water on the delicate setting.
Step 3: Use a mild detergent.
Step 4: Click start and go about your business.
Step 5: Remove the load of laundry once it is done and place your headband flat to dry.
If need be, shake out the headband to get it reshaped before laying it flat to dry.
Tip: Put your Curling Headband in a mesh wash bag (also referred to as a bra bag) that can be zipped or synched closed. This can help protect it from getting tangled or tossed around too much.
What To Do When It Bunches
If your Curling Headband is bunching at the end from washing, follow these steps:
Step 1: Hold the headband firmly with one hand around the bunched end
Step 2: Give it a whack against a harder object
Step 3: Smooth it out
